The advantages of Pre-Need Planning

Pre-Need Planning is making burial arrangements in advance for yourself and your family. Making arrangements in advance with one of our Family Service Counselors allows families to make decisions without the emotional stress of the passing of their loved ones, it allows families to save upwards of thousands of dollars, and brings peace of mind that everything has been thoughtfully taken care of.

The passing of a loved one all too often leaves families struggling to find ways to pay off burial expenses. By making arrangements in advance, families are able to make installment payments over a period of time, and it locks in your burial costs at today’s rates. In addition, Clarendon Hills even extends the offer of 0% interest on installment contracts- terms and conditions apply. The gift of Pre-Need Planning allows families to grieve and focus solely on the important task of memorializing a loved one and finding closure, instead of worrying about how to pay for a loved one’s passing.

WHAT PRE-NEED ARRANGEMENTS CAN I MAKE AT Clarendon Hills Cemetery?

  • Burial Location: This can often be the most difficult and important decision for families to make. Doing this ahead of time gives you the opportunity to view our beautiful grounds and inquire about our many burial options.

  • Marker/Monument: Depending on the requirements of the grave’s section, there are different materials/sizing options available for markers. Our Family Service Counselors would be more than happy to go over personalized memorial options for your section and thoughtfully guide you through the selection process.

  • Vault: The in-ground outer concrete container in which a casket or urn is placed – there are several different vault options, each offering different levels of protection and customization.

  • Opening/Closing: The costs for the grave preparation and committal service.

  • Licensed by the State of Illinois: Clarendon Hills Cemetery has long been licensed by the State of Illinois to be able to offer families the option to make pre-need arrangements for monuments, vaults and opening/closings. Most families want to “take care of everything” in order to feel the peace of mind that their descendants will not be in the position of having to make financial and arrangement decisions while distraught and grieving.
